About the role

Connectra BPO is looking for a front desk agent for a procedural dermatology clinic in New York. You will take patient calls in English and Russian, book appointments and keep everything up to date in the clinic's medical system. You will work from the Connectra office in Tashkent on New York time.

What you'll do

  • Answer inbound patient calls in English and Russian, around 40–50 calls a day
  • Book, reschedule and cancel appointments in ModMed
  • Verify patients' insurance before their visit
  • Call patients with reminders and appointment confirmations
  • Pass questions that can't be resolved over the phone to the clinic's doctors and staff
  • Log every call in the patient's record
  • Keep medical data confidential

What we're looking for

  • English at C1 or higher: fluent phone conversation and a good ear for American accents
  • Native or fluent Russian
  • At least 1 year of experience in a call center or customer support
  • Confident computer skills and fast typing in English
  • Willingness to work evening and night shifts
  • Attention to detail and care with data

Nice to have

  • Experience with American clients or in US healthcare
  • Experience at a clinic front desk or in a medical call center
  • Knowledge of US insurance: Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans, copay, deductible
  • Experience with ModMed or another EMR system
  • Experience with RingCentral or other VoIP telephony
  • Knowledge of English medical terminology

What we offer

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 New York time
  • In Tashkent time: 19:00–03:00 in winter, 18:00–02:00 in summer

Hiring process

  • Short phone interview in English (15 minutes)
  • Role play: a patient call with an appointment booking and an insurance question
  • Typing speed and attention test
  • Final interview with the manager
